Overview: Pearson PLC is the awarding body for the Pearson Test of English (PTE), a widely recognized English language proficiency test. Pearson PLC launched PTE in 2009 as a computer-based test for assessing English language skills of individuals who are not native speakers and are planning to pursue university programs in English-speaking nations.The test results are usually available within 5 working days following the test date.

More than 3,500 colleges and institutions worldwide accept PTE Academic for study. The PTE Academic scores are valid for up to two years from the date of the exam.

Test Format:

The test consists of three main parts. Part 1 includes Speaking & Writing and typically takes between 54 and 67 minutes to complete. Part 2 focuses on Reading and generally requires around 30 minutes to finish. Part 3 involves Listening and typically takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
